The Gujarat Government Will Provide A Monthly Financial Aide Of ₹2,000 To Children Who Have Lost A Parent To COVID-19. The Financial Assistance Would Be Provided Under Mukhya Mantri Bal Seva Yojna. The Scheme Would Be Launched On August 2, Wherein The Money Would Be Transferred To The Bank Accounts Of These Children.

The Financial Assistance Would Be Provided Under Gujarat Mukhya Mantri Bal Seva Yojna.The Scheme Would Be Launched On August 2, Wherein The Money Would Be Transferred To The Bank Accounts Of These Children.At Least 776 Children, Who Were Orphaned Due To COVID-19, Received The First Monthly Instalment Of ₹4,000 Each Under The Bal Seva Yojna Gujarat , Earlier This Month.

The State Government Has Now Decided To Extend The Benefit Of This Scheme To Children Who Have Lost One Of Their Parents To Covid-19, Said Sunaina Tomar, Additional Chief Secretary Of The Social Justice And Empowerment Department, In A Written Communication To District Collectors.

On August 2, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani Will Launch This Scheme For Such Children, By Transferring The First Monthly Instalment Of ₹2,000 Into The Bank Accounts Of Each Beneficiary Child Identified By The Authorities, Tomar Stated In The Letter.


She Further Asked The District Collectors To Open Bank Accounts For Eligible Children Within Three Days.

The State Government Announced A Number Of Relief Measures Including Monthly Financial Assistance For The Children Who Have Lost Both Their Parents To Covid.

Rupani Announced ‘Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana And Said Such Children Will Get ₹4,000 Per Month Till They Turn 18. Now, This Age Has Been Increased To 21.

He Had Also Said That If They Continue Studies, They Will Get Assistance Of ₹6,000 Per Month Till They Turn 21. The Chief Minister Also Added That This Stipend Will Continue During Higher Studies Too.

He Said All Types Of Undergraduate And Postgraduate Courses Will Be Considered Valid For Availing Benefit Under This Scheme. Such Children Will Also Get Priority In Various Government Schemes Offering Scholarships Within India And Abroad Irrespective Of Income Criteria, Rupani Said.

According To The State Government, The Children From The ST, ST, OBC And Economically Backward Classes Will Get The Benefit Of Scholarships Of The State Social Justice And Empowerment And Tribal Development Department Irrespective Of Income Limits.

Not only this, educational loan for study in the state as well as loan for study abroad will be given on priority basis regardless of any income limit. Such orphans and destitute children will be covered under Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana (MYSY) for higher education and its benefits will be given on priority basis without any income limit.

Vocational training for children above 14 years of age and skill development training for children above 18 years of age will be imparted on priority basis at the government's expense under this 'Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana'. Priority will be given to the destitute girls who have lost their parents for admission in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, residential schools run by the Central / State Government for education. Hostel expenses will also be provided. By including such destitute girls under Kunwarbai's Mameru scheme for marriage, the benefit of this scheme will also be available and the amount of Mamera will be paid by the state government under the scheme.
